Teacher Training
IWBNet offers a range of professional development services for teachers using
IWBs, some online and others face to face.
It is able to provide training around each of the interactive whiteboards in
use, for both PCs and Macs.
We provide training on the initial use of the boards and professional
development for teachers and schools already proficient in the use of the board
application software.
Most teachers will become proficient in the core technology within about a year
and will then want to enrich their teaching even further by using a variety of
third party software and hardware. In other words, teachers will want to create
their own digital teaching hubs.
IWBNet can help you with online teacher training (e-teaching with IWBS) and face
to face in Australia.
We draw on a network of experienced teacher trainers whose major focus is in
empowering teachers to integrate technology into the learning process, in the
classroom.
To arrange your face to face training you can either email
margo@iwb.net.au or call us on
1800 760 108. The main face to face training programs are:
-
In-school Programs
-
Regional Workshops
We can however tailor programs to fit your individual situation, to combine your
training with nearby schools and indeed provide a mix of training and higher
level consultancy.
In - School Programs
These programs are ideal for developing and enhancing the skills of a sub-group
of teachers, or indeed a total school staff. We can also train mentors in the
school to provide ongoing, hands-on support for your whole teacher community.
The nature of each will be influenced by your particular requirements.
Our training programs are normally one day in length. These can be broken up
into two hour workshops, allowing subject by subject training, half-day
workshops or whole day professional development courses.
Regional Workshops
These workshops are ideal for one or two teachers from a school wishing to gain
a greater appreciation of how interactive whiteboards can enhance the quality of
teaching and learning. Teachers can come along to a workshop in their own area,
share ideas and network with other like-minded teachers.
If you wish to conduct one of these workshops in your region get in touch and
we’ll see what we can arrange. Email
margo@iwb.net.au
In addition to these tailor made regional workshops IWBNet will be conducting a
program of training seminars in the major cities and regional centres across
Australia in 2006. For more information go to the
Enrich Teaching Seminar
Series.
