Evaluation Instrument

The evaluation instrument recognises that in introducing IWBs, schools will move through different phases which depict different levels of proficiency with IWBs.

• Phase 1 - Pre Commencement

In this phase schools are about to make the shift to the widespread use of IWBs

• Phase 2 - Introductory

In this phase schools are 8-9 months into the use of IWBs

• Phase 3 - Proficiency

In this phase schools are 18-24 months into the IWB journey with teachers proficient in the use of the board's core software

• Phase 4 - High Proficiency

In this phase schools are three years or more into the journey with a critical mass of IWBs and teachers are highly proficient in the use of IWBs with other ICT
