Seminars
Choose from the following Powerful Software Seminars:
In PSS Seminar 1 (Freeware use in your classroom – suitable for K -
10) we will demonstrate three very powerful software applications that can be
used in K – 10 classrooms. Using your own copy of the CD you will install the
software and begin to create a lesson to use back at school. Your presenter will
also show you sample lessons that have been created using the application/s that
you can use back at school or re-purpose them for your own use. The CD will
contain instructions on how to use the software, instructions to create the
sample lessons as well as the sample lesson files. The applications we will use in this session are Pivot StickFigure Animator, All Things Google and Phun. (Please note: that depending
on time, delegate numbers and experience the combination of lessons demonstrated
may differ.)
In PSS Seminar 2 (Kid Pix Deluxe 4 in your Classroom – suitable for K
- 8) you will receive your own licensed copy (CD) of Kid Pix Deluxe 4 which you
will install on your laptop at the beginning of the session. Your presenter will
then take you through a “view” of the software to demonstrate the features of
the application using classroom examples. You will be shown a selection of
sample lessons to provide you with some ideas on how to use the software in your
classroom. You will then begin to build a lesson from scratch that you can use
or you can re-purpose one of the sample lessons provided on the CD. The CD will
contain instructions on how to use the software, instructions to create the
sample lessons as well as the sample lesson files. (Please note: that
depending on time, delegate numbers and experience the combination of lessons
demonstrated may differ.)
