Download: To download this resource click here (Box.net)

This presentation was presented by Bernie O’Sullivan at the Fifth National IWB Conference in 2008.

Description: The Autograph software is an excellent tool for displaying and animating difficult to understand Senior Mathematics concepts. With its ability to animate functions and their derivates or to rotate three-dimensional vectors, as well as plenty of other great functionality, this software package was made to be used in conjunction with an interactive whiteboard. By attending this session you will not only get hands-on experience with the package and many of its benefits (for new/novice users), but also some great tips and examples for easily delivering Mathematics education using multiple technology platforms (for novice/intermediate users)

Changing the way we teach upper primary science: writing interactive stories for science on the IWB

Download: To download this resource click here (Box.net)

This presentation was presented by Dr Christine Redman and Dr Anthony Jones at the Fifth National IWB Conference in 2008.

Description: Recent reports on Australian students’ performance in reading, science and mathematics on the OECD's Program for International Student Assessment 2006 (PISA) suggest a downward trend. The aim in this session is to use findings from research by the presenters and others, to assist in an exploration of collaborative writing about science using affordances of the IWB. While there are many different pieces of software that could be used for this task, in this session the 2Simple product 2Create will be employed.
