Second NZ and AU International IWB Conference - 2010

Theme: Escalating the power of interactive whiteboards

After such a fantastic response to the First NZ and AUS International IWB Conference held at Westlake Girls High School, Auckland, New Zealand, IWBNet has much pleasure in announcing that it will hold its Second NZ and AUS International IWB Conference at the same venue on Thursday 29, Friday 30 and Saturday 31 July 2010.

Teachers world wide are tapping the potential of the interactivity of IWBs to create lessons and other educational experiences superior to the learning experiences they could otherwise provide. The challenge for the presenters at the 2010 conference is to showcase that improvement, demonstrating the clear educational benefits of using the IWB in the classroom.

With the interactivity of the IWB as the focus of this conference, we are providing in the 2010 conference program the following major presentation categories:

• Implementing educationally sound IWB programs in schools
• Professional development, training and support to raise the bar in IWB use
• Exploiting the full potential of the interactivity of the IWB
• Pairing peripherals with an IWB to escalate their interactive power
• Pairing the interactivity of the IWB with favourite software packages and online tools to enhance practice
• Communicating and collaborating to learn with IWBs
• Emerging practice with IWBs
• The benefits of IWBs: what does the research say?

With interactive whiteboards now playing such a prominent place in the learning of our students, this is one event that you should not miss. It provides you with an opportunity to see the latest practice presented by teachers who are leading the advances being made in teaching and learning with interactive whiteboards.

There will be something of interest for teachers and school leaders in all sectors of schooling no matter what level of experience they have had with this exciting technology.

Refund Policy

All registration fees must be paid within 14 days of the invoice being issued or in advance of the date of attendance. Which ever date occurs first, applies. Refunds will be given as follows: up to 14 days before the commencement of a conference. No refund will be given after that time; however an alternate person may attend. If an invoice is unpaid and cancellation is not received up to 14 days before a conference, payment will be pursued. Whilst every effort will be made to run advertised conferences, IWBNet reserves the right to vary the advertised schedule. Minimum numbers are required for all events to run as scheduled. IWBNet is not responsible for lost monies due to the cancellation of the event within the above timeframes. Program content is subject to change without notice.
