Theme: Achieving with digital technology - teachers showcasing and sharing classroom practice

IWBNet invites you to attend the Ninth National Interactive Teaching and Learning Conference to be held at Presbyterian Ladies’ College, Boundary Street Croydon, Sydney on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 August 2012 with optional classroom tours on Thursday 9 August.

At this well established conference teachers from across Australia showcase what they are achieving in their classrooms with interactive digital technology including interactive whiteboards. When you attend this conference you will get some brilliant ideas from these teachers who have so generously given their time, to share their experience and expertise with you. See the many ways that you can enhance your teaching and provide students with rich, contemporary learning opportunities. Apply the ideas back in your classroom and see the positive changes!

Over the 2½ day conference there is plenty to choose from, whether you are at a beginner, intermediate, competent or advanced level of expertise.

You will come away from this conference having learned many new skills and ideas that you can immediately implement and share with your colleagues back in your own school setting – which in itself is great professional development for the whole school!

Testimonials

Here is just a small sample of the feedback received from the 2011 conference:

“I travelled from Queensland for the conference and was thrilled with the sessions.  However, winning the RM ePad Interactive Tablet was the icing on the cake. Thank you so much, I shall put it to good use.” – Narelle, Head of Business/ICT, QLD School.

“Could you please pass on to the organisers what a fantastic conference it was. Carly and I spoke at a staff meeting last night about it and the whole staff was very interested. I have recommended to the school that more staff attend this conference as it was filled with a great mixture of theoretical and practical ideas and was cutting edge. Carly and I have both mentioned that it was one of the best conferences that we had attended - and I've been teaching for 30 years!” – Mark, Walford Anglican School for Girls, SA

“A very big thank you to Margo, Val and all concerned, another wonderful conference, full of energy and enquiry. We look forward to seeing the IWB Team again at the 5th National Leading a Digital School Conference”Camille Davey, Britannica.

“2011 was a most valuable conference and I was happy to take part, both as a presenter and as a participant” – Deb Koh, St Aidan's Anglican Girls' School, QLD

Who should attend?
This conference is for classroom practitioners who wish to get some sound practical ideas for improving their teaching skills with interactive digital technology, including interactive whiteboards.

It is also for school leaders who wish to understand the best classroom practice that is possible for their teachers to achieve.

Delegates will have had some exposure to using digital technology in the classroom and their schools in all likelihood, have IWB installations. They will also be interested in taking their new found knowledge and skills back to school to share with their colleagues.
