The eTeaching Excellence conferences are designed to provide teachers with
stimulus material for developing lessons and activities around selected current
and emerging eTeaching ideas using interactive technology. The conference
sessions will explore eTeaching ideas through technology that is reasonably
mobile and either value for money or free to teachers. This is to encourage to
eTeaching, teachers and schools that would otherwise not be able to afford to be
involved.

The Concept of eTeaching
An excellent teacher with limited resources will nearly always be able to
provide a better learning experience than an average teacher who has all the
latest technology.
However an accomplished eTeacher using digital technology expertly to enhance
the art of teaching is doing something quite magical for students, allowing them
to work and learn in a truly interactive teaching and learning environment –
this is eTeaching!
Students taught by an accomplished eTeacher are indeed fortunate. They reap
the benefits of having limitless knowledge at their fingertips; being able to
reach out anywhere in the world to communicate and collaborate; better
understanding complex concepts; manipulating their environments; and of being
truly global citizens.

The Technology
In the conference program we are promoting the power of eTeaching through
technology that most teachers, school leaders, parents and school community
members have some hope of accessing.
We are promoting digital technology that is mobile, affordable, value for
money, flexible, and cutting edge, able to be used in most digital interactive
teaching and learning spaces and environments.
It is technology that schools with limited budgets can better afford and
remote schools can more easily access. Households looking for technology for
students to work from home will also reap the benefits of this more affordable
and highly effective technology.
The Sessions
The sessions will provide delegates the opportunity to engage in authentic
tasks. From what delegates learn by engaging in these tasks and assisted by the
“take away” resources made available to them, they will be equipped and
motivated to transfer what they have learned to resources they construct for
their own teaching situations.
The sessions held across the conference are:

- eTeaching with online applications for problem solving
- eTeaching in collaborative learning spaces.
Sessions will be presented by some of Australia’s leading eTeaching
practitioners. All of our presenters are committed to enhancing the art of
teaching assisted by digital technology.

Refund Policy
All registration fees must be paid within 14 days of the
invoice being issued or in advance of the date of attendance. Which ever date
occurs first, applies. Refunds will be given as follows: up to 14 days before
the commencement of a conference. No refund will be given after that time;
however an alternate person may attend. If an invoice is unpaid and cancellation
is not received up to 14 days before a conference, payment will be pursued.
Whilst every effort will be made to run advertised conferences, IWBNet reserves
the right to vary the advertised schedule. Minimum numbers are required for all
events to run as scheduled. IWBNet is not responsible for lost monies due to the
cancellation of the event within the above timeframes. Program content is
subject to change without notice.
