There is a wide and growing range of interactive whiteboards available to schools worldwide. What is now emerging is a common set of facilities.

The boards vary significantly in price. In general terms the less expensive boards use existing whiteboards. The more expensive ones use purpose specific boards, or other presentation technology, like rear projection or plasma screens.

Most board manufacturers use their own technology and at this point in time there is no common standard and thus one cannot readily mix brands.
